The UCLA schedule of classes allows students to search for courses available, depending on the term and search criterion. The Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA) building, Ackerman Union UCLA, is one of the Student Union buildings on UCLA campus. Ackerman Union, as it is formally known, opened on April 3, 1961.

UCLA textbooks can be found at the UCLA Store location in Ackerman Union and online. An enterprise of the Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA), the UCLA Store not only offers licensed merchandise, such as BearWear, but also textbooks and books for Bruins. Located on Level A of Ackerman Union, UCLA Store Textbooks is the stop to purchase necessary course materials for UCLA students.

UCLA’s Online Planner for Students
The UCLA’s Registrar’s Office provides not just one UCLA Calendar, but four, for both summary calendars for the entire academic year and specific-term time periods. The UCLA Calendar highlights important deadlines, times and references to further information on the site. The calendars include the Annual Academic Calendar, Annual Term Calendar, Professional School Calendars and Summer Session Calendar.

The UCLA Directory, formerly known as the UCLA Campus Directory, is an informative listing of UCLA’s faculty, staff and student information, as well as the individual departments that make up UCLA’s community. Maintained by Information Technology Services, the directory also shares contact information in a singular, organized space, rather than on multiple platforms and websites.

59th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s speech at UCLA
On April 27, 1965, civil rights figurehead Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered a speech at UCLA’s Wilson Plaza. According to UCLA Newsroom, almost 5,000 UCLA students and faculty gathered to hear Dr. King speak, and the speech left a profound impact on the attendees and beyond.
